Doing research on William McKinley 1779-1857 and Elizabeth Herring 1785-1872 in Amanda Township, I have most of data on their descendants, but trying to determine if there are any siblings. We do not know their parents, but William and Elizabeth were born in Ireland and arrived in Fairfield County between 1815 and 1820 as they appear in the census then. We also believe that the Davidsons may be related as there is a rumor that Easter Davidson 1784-1845, husband of James Davidson 1783-1846 may be related if Easter was Williams sister. The Davidsons are mentioned in the estate sale and are buried in the same general area in the Turkey Run Cemetery.

The Dellinger family lived in Violet Twp of Fairfield Co. They moved there from York Co, PA, between 1837 and 1840. The father of the family was Jacob Dellinger. His son Henry married Lydia Pickering whose family helped to found Pickerington, OH. I am currently trying to trace the woman I believe is Jacob's mother, but would like to correspond with anyone researching the Dellinger family of Fairfield County, OH. Catherine Dellinger is buried in Reformed & Lutheran Cemetery, Franklin  Co, Ohio. Her tombstone gives her date of death (22 February 1873), age  (86y, 10m 4d), and then says: 'Wife of H. Dellinger'. She is buried at Reformed & Lutheran with three relatives of my great-great grandfather Jacob Dellinger.
These are
-- E.L. (Lewis) Dellinger, son of Jacob & Sarah Dellinger.
-- Sarah, wife of Jacob Dellinger
-- Charles, grandson of Jacob Dellinger by his son William

Jacob's father was Henry Dellinger. Obviously from the dates Catherine  SEEMS to be the mother of Jacob and the wife of this Henry. Unfortunately for me, every other indication I have is that Jacob's  mother and Henry's wife was Sophia Keller and that Henry died several  years before Sophia (in fact Sophia later remarried).

I'm looking for information on the Raker and BIXLER families. John Raker (Born 1810 in PA) came to Fairfield County, Ohio with his parents Martin and Sarah RAKER after 1815. They left FF in the 1830's and settled in Fulton County Ohio. John Raker married around 1830 to a woman named Sarah Bixler. Their first child Daniel was born in 1832. I presume they married in FF Ohio, but haven't been able to confirm it. Also, Ii haven't been able to tie Sarah to FF, Ohio. Sarah was born in 1808 and died in 1842. I think she may have been the niece of Christian Bixler the 2nd who did live in FF.
