DATE: 26 Jul 2013
QUERY: My name is Travis Herbert & I just bought a home on 65 Amanda Northern Rd NW, Lancaster Ohio. I\'m trying to find any information about this property. I was told it was built in 1816, added on rooms in 1863, and in 1908 the summer kitchen, root cellar, & smoke house was built. The property owner said that the information about the carriage house was at the historical society. I found an old drawing in the barn of the house and the land, and what I am assuming is the original home owner. If you could help me find a u information it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Travis Herbert

SURNAME: KAGEY
E-MAIL: Kagay@nytimes.com
DATE: 20 Jul 2013
QUERY: Seeking info on SAMUEL KAGEY, born 1858, son of Stephen and Mary (Warner) KAGEY of Walnut Township. He married Adaline (or Addie) JOHNSON in 1880. They farmed in the Baltimore-Basil area and had three children during the 1880s, including sons Pearl and Archie. By the Census of 1900 Samuel is no longer living with his wife and children who are enumerated as boarders in someone else\'s household. The wife died around 1906 and is buried at Baltimore next to one of their children. But Samuel is not buried there. What happened to him? It is almost as if he disappeared sometime in the 1890s. - Michael Kagay, kagay@nytimes.com

SURNAME: EVANS, PEPPLE, TIPPLE
E-MAIL: d.kayevans@gmail.com
DATE: 24 May 2013
QUERY: Someone please help! I have been researching the Evans line for over six years now and need help. I am researching Solomon Simon Evans b. 1811 in Ohio who married Mary A. Pepple b. 1818 (or Pepples or Pepper) on November 5, 1835 in Fairfield County. They had a child by the name of Jobe Evans b. 1839 who was sent to live with Peter Siefert and shows up there on the 1850 Census. Jobe Evans married Lydia Jane Tipple b. 1841 on May 9, 1861 in Fairfield County. I am trying to find out who Solomon and Mary\'s parents are, when and where did they die? Any information at all regarding any of these people would be greatly appreciated. It also seems like this family shuttled back and forth between Fairfield and Darke County quite often. I hope to hear from someone that can help me finally solve this mystery. Thank you in advance.
