Bible Index PREFACE The following is an index of names
found in the “Family Bible Records” published by the Fairfield Chapter of the Ohio
Genealogical Society. This book is not online but copies are
available at several research locations including the FCC-OGS Library in
Lancaster, OH, the Fairfield County District Library in Lancaster, OH, the
Allen County Library in Ft Wayne, IN, and the OGS Library in Mansfield, OH. The
book may also be purchased through our Society by mail, online, or in person. The Fairfield Co. Genealogical Society has been collecting Bible records for several years. Members have donated original Bibles, photocopies, typed transcripts & handwritten copies. Some of the records in this publication were even copied at garage sales or auctions. A Bible may be the only place to find early birth and death records as Ohio did not begin recording these until 1867.
